Founding Purpose of the Principality of Zakistan
The Principality of Zakistan was established as a forward-looking initiative dedicated to promoting responsible governance, sustainable development, and constructive international engagement. Today, Zakistan focuses its efforts on exploring avenues of cooperation with partner states most notably the Union of the Comoros regarding Ouenefou Island, with full respect for Comorian sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national legislation.
Guided by the principles of peaceful collaboration and legal clarity, the Principality aims to contribute to the economic, social, and environmental development of the region through projects that are complementary to Comorian priorities. Zakistan does not pursue unilateral actions; instead, it seeks to build a framework for dialogue, research, and mutually beneficial initiatives in close coordination with the Comorian authorities.

The Principality of Zakistan was established to bring structure and purpose to Bir Tawil, a land between Egypt and Sudan that remains unclaimed by either state. Zakistan’s foundation rests on peaceful development, legality, and regional cooperation. Our mission is to transform this neutral territory into a space for progress, research, and constructive dialogue in full respect of neighboring nations and international law.
